Open-source encryption for files in Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive

Cryptomator is an open-source encryption tool from Skymatic GmbH that encrypts files in cloud storage folders. Its desktop apps are free for personal use on Windows, macOS and Linux, and its mobile apps need a paid upgrade for full access.

Cryptomator creates encrypted vaults inside a folder that syncs to cloud storage, so files are encrypted on your device before they leave it. It works with cloud services such as Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive, and support varies by platform. Desktop apps run on Windows, macOS and Linux, and mobile apps cover Android and iOS.

The desktop app is free for personal use with unlimited vaults. Full access on mobile is a paid upgrade, and the free mobile versions are read-only. Cryptomator Hub adds centralized access management for teams. The source is published on GitHub under GPL-3.0.
