End-to-end encrypted cloud storage with a 20 GB free plan

MEGA is an end-to-end encrypted cloud storage service with desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux. Its free plan includes 20 GB, and paid Pro plans add more storage and transfer.

MEGA stores files with end-to-end encryption and gives free accounts 20 GB, according to its homepage comparison table. Its desktop app runs on Windows, Mac and Linux and syncs folders, and its download page offers official packages for each system.

Paid Pro plans add storage and transfer. The pricing page lists bundled extras in higher plans, including MEGA VPN, MEGA Pass and unrestricted chat and meetings. The homepage compares MEGA with Dropbox at 2 GB free and Google One at 15 GB free, but that table comes from MEGA itself, so check current limits on the vendor's pages. MEGA suits people who want encrypted storage with a generous free allowance.
