Modules cover records, leave, time, recruitment, performance and onboarding, and it runs in the cloud or on your own server. Advanced is a paid subscription with a 30-day free trial.

The OrangeHRM Starter edition is free and open source under GPL-3.0, and its source code is on GitHub. The site lists modules for HR administration, employee management, leave and time, recruitment with an applicant tracking system, performance management and onboarding. The FAQ says the Advanced edition adds modules such as recruitment, performance management and payroll integration.

OrangeHRM says it supports cloud-hosted and on-premise deployments, and the Starter edition can be installed on your own server. The pricing page text checked did not list Advanced prices. Payroll comes through integrations with third-party apps, according to the FAQ. OrangeHRM suits organizations that want an HR system on their own infrastructure and can run and update it themselves.
