Open-source metasearch engine you can host yourself without tracking

SearXNG is a free, open-source metasearch engine that sends queries to many search services and combines the results. It is licensed under AGPL-3.0, says users are neither tracked nor profiled, and is meant to be self-hosted.

SearXNG is a metasearch engine: it forwards queries to many search services and merges the results. The project says users are neither tracked nor profiled. Its code is public under AGPL-3.0, and it runs on a server the user controls.

Running SearXNG takes a server and some setup, and the results depend on which upstream services are enabled. It suits people who want to self-host search and understand the trade-offs. DuckDuckGo and Brave Search work without any setup, so they are the simpler choice for most people.
