AI podcast player for saving highlights and chatting with episodes

Snipd is an AI podcast player for iOS and Android. Listeners save snips by tapping their headphones, and the app creates transcripts, summaries and chapters for processed episodes. The free plan allows unlimited listening, and Premium is listed at $6.99 a month.

Snipd is a podcast player built around notes. A listener taps the headphones to create a snip, and the app saves an audio clip with its transcript and summary. The site says snips can be exported and synced to Readwise, Notion, Obsidian and Glasp, and a daily recap is offered for spaced repetition. The app also shows mini summaries of topics and guests before playback.

The free plan allows unlimited listening to all podcasts, with AI features limited to two episodes a week. Premium adds unlimited AI features for processed episodes, chat with episodes, imports of audio files and YouTube videos, custom AI prompts and 900 minutes of AI processing a month. Premium is listed at $6.99 a month with a one-week trial, and prices vary by country. Snipd suits listeners who want notes and transcripts from podcasts; for plain listening, Apple Podcasts or Pocket Casts in this list fit better.
