Disclosure and independence

Which products on listme.name are made by or connected to the publisher, how they are ranked, and what the site does and does not earn from its listings.

listme.name is published by Yunus Emre Vurgun, who builds some of the products listed here and works with people and a company that build others. Readers deserve to know that, so this page says it plainly.

What "connected" means

A product is marked with an asterisk (*) when it is:

  • made by the publisher,
  • made by the publisher's employer, or
  • made by people the publisher works with or takes part in building.

The asterisk links to this page. The full list of connected products is at the bottom of this page, and every page that shows one of them repeats a short note.

How connected products are ranked

They are scored on the same criteria as every other product, and a clearly better product ranks above them. They also receive a small, capped lift when a list is ordered, and one placement floor per list, described exactly in How we rank. The score displayed is always the editorial score; the lift only affects the order. The publisher considers the connected products to be good, but that is a reason to disclose the connection, not to treat the ranking as independent.

Money

At the time of writing listme.name has no advertising, no sponsored placements and no affiliate links, and does not accept payment from vendors to be listed or ranked. Outbound links go straight to the product's own website without tracking parameters. If any of this changes, this page and every affected listing will say so first.

Reporting a problem

If you think a connected product is ranked too high, or that any listing is unfair or wrong, tell us through the contact form. Corrections are checked against the vendor's own page.
