Questions about the widgets

Is it free to use the widgets?

Yes. The badges and embeds are free, need no account and set no cookies. They only load an image or a small page from listme.name.

Can I use the ranked badge if my product is not on listme.name?

No. The ranked and top-pick badges are drawn from the live rankings and answer with an error for a product that is not ranked, so they cannot show a rank that does not exist.

Does the badge help my search ranking?

The snippet is a plain link back to the page it names. We make no promise about search engines, and a badge does not change a product's score here: scores are editorial and described on the how-we-rank page.

Why does a badge have an asterisk?

An asterisk marks products connected to the publisher of listme.name. The badge carries the mark so the connection stays visible wherever it is shown. The disclosure page explains the connections.

Do the embeds track visitors?

The embedded pages contain no scripts and set no cookies. Like any page request, loading one reaches listme.name's servers, which keep ordinary access logs.
