About Claude Code

Claude Code is Anthropic's coding agent. According to its product page, it understands a codebase, edits files, runs commands and handles tasks such as a bug fix, a test or a multi-day migration. Developers steer it from the terminal, an IDE, Slack or the web, and review its changes before they are merged.

The product page lists Claude Code as included in the Pro plan at $17 a month billed annually or $20 billed monthly, and in Max plans from $100 a month.
