About DaVinci Resolve
DaVinci Resolve puts editing, color grading, visual effects, motion graphics and audio mixing in one application, so a project does not have to move between separate programs. The vendor markets it for professional post-production. The free version is available for Mac, Windows and Linux, and the paid Studio edition adds features on top of it.
The interface has many pages and panels, which makes the first week harder than with simpler editors. The Fusion, Fairlight and Color pages give it depth, but people who only cut short clips may not need that depth. It is a strong choice for longer projects and color work.
