About Navidrome

Navidrome serves a folder of music files through a modern web interface and through third-party mobile clients for iOS and Android. It implements the OpenSubsonic API, so clients built for Subsonic-style servers can connect. Multiple libraries with user-specific access let a household keep music and audiobooks apart, and files can be transcoded on the fly to save bandwidth.

The project says it has been tested with a library of about 900,000 songs. It publishes releases on a regular basis and accepts contributions through GitHub pull requests. Navidrome handles music only, so films, books and photos need other software.
