About Oak

Oak is organized around three session types: meditation, breathing and sleep. Guided meditations run from 5 to 30 minutes with male and female instructors, and unguided sessions can be set from 5 minutes up to 24 hours. Users can sit in silence or choose background tracks such as bells, bowls and streams. The breathing exercises include Box Breathing, Deep Calm and Awake sessions, with animated instructions.

The app counts minutes meditated, breaths taken and sessions completed, tracks consecutive-day streaks and awards badges. It can record mindful minutes in Apple Health, which is optional. A 10-day Mantra meditation course is included. The app is free to download and uses in-app purchases, but the App Store listing does not say which items they unlock. The current version is 2.5.5, dated March 16.
