About Seek by iNaturalist
Seek points the camera at living things and suggests what they are, with lists of commonly recorded species nearby. Its results draw on millions of wildlife observations contributed to iNaturalist. Users earn badges for seeing different types of plants, birds, fungi and other groups, and can take part in challenges.
Seek is free and nonprofit, and its identification covers animals and fungi as well as plants, which makes it broader than the plant-only apps in this list. The iNaturalist site says its observations are open and freely available to researchers. Seek gives less plant care advice than PictureThis or PlantSnap.
