About StaffPad
StaffPad converts handwritten music into typeset notation, with handwriting recognition, touch editing and automatic score layout. The site also describes audio recording and import, realistic playback and tempo mapping for free-time audio. The app is available on the App Store for iPad and on the Windows Store for Windows 10.
StaffPad needs a pen-enabled device, either an iPad with a compatible Apple Pencil or a Windows 10 device with active pen and touch, so it does not suit a keyboard-and-mouse setup. The Reader app shows parts to musicians in real time over Wi-Fi, which suits rehearsal and performance.
