About Bevy
Bevy is a code-first engine. Components are Rust structs and systems are Rust functions, and the engine runs them through a parallel scheduler. The project lists 2D and 3D renderers, a render graph, animation, Bevy UI, scenes, sound and hot reloading among its features.
Bevy targets Windows, macOS, Linux, the web, iOS and Android, according to its site. There is no fee to use it, and the optional supporter tiers are paid sponsorships. The GitHub repository had commits on October 10, 2026. Expect to write Rust, and plan for API changes between releases, since the engine is still evolving.
